how does it sound if we spend the night out?

giselle.

----------------
Giselle did feel a little uncertain about the way she had acted towards the buckskin stallion. But here in a place so foreign to her, anyone could be a threat, anyone could harm her or hold her captive. All of those things were nothing the silver mare wanted. The blue eyes she watched him with, were not angry or mean, Giselle had a soft expression, showing him that he had not made her feel as if he was a threat. It really wasn’t his fault she had come across one or two aggressive stallions that she had to run from, she allowed her neck to settle and her body language to say hey maybe you aren’t so bad, but I’m a careful girl and know that situations can feel right but go wrong.

She had to say the stranger put on a good show trying to hide that he was hurt, Giselle wondered what had happened to him. She appreciated him stopping further away, respecting her space. In the way he had invited her for shelter, it had been an option left open to her – because of that, her desire to follow was there. When the stallion turned after a few choice words, Giselle let her head lower, dipping her head so the droplets ran off her silver nose. Hesitating momentarily she watched him go, feeling stubborn yet not wanting to be out in a strange island alone, this guy seemed nice enough and she really didn’t want to chance meeting anyone else so she trotted a few paces through the heavy wet sand to not lose sight of him. The mud trail caused her hooves to stick and splashed her underside as she went, the wind had certainly picked up causing the rain to almost sting as it made contact with her skin.

It had not taken them too long to get there and Giselle was gracious for that. The buckskin had already entered the cavern opening, and as she followed him inside she was careful not to get too close as she headed for the other side. Giselle shook her neck out, getting rid of the loose rain that still clung to her, as she too decided to stand near the cavern wall. Briefly she reached her nose out to itch lightly on the cavern wall, trying to rid herself of the runoff of rain tickling her face. Giselle then proceeded to look over at the stallion, an ear softly moved his way “Thank you.” She said, her tone was appreciative as she turned back to look out into the rain, thinking. “Are you going to tell me what you managed to get into, that got you so roughed up?” If you could see through the dark dim-lit cave that only illuminated with a flash of lightning you could have seen her turn up the corner of her lip in a half smile. Giselle had no idea if he'd share anything with her, especially because he did seem decently injured and the way she had been so far hadn't been all too accepting of him - but she could try to make small talk hoping that it would break the silence that she had been portraying so far.
