FROM THE OCEAN SHE RISES

Peace. It is beginning to seem entirely fleeting in the forest. First it had been disturbed by Jabberwocky’s disappearance; then Skylar being stolen by the peak; then Caesisus’ arrival and the subsequent loss of 3 mares to secure her stay; then the wolf attack on Lyden; then the raid attempt on Dickere; then the battle for Caesisus; then the rape of Dock and now......

After successfully driving Kasabian away from Caesisus and their home, peace had fallen once more while Lyden and Jörmungandr healed from their battle wounds. The night had drawn in without incidence and the buckskin mare now stands dozing on the edge of the herd. Beneath the fogginess of sleep, her ears twitch in response to a ruckus that could either be reality or the product of her dreams. She does not react at first, slowly coming back around to the waking world. Then she hears it.

Macabre.

The voice shouts the name aloud and the buckskin mare’s ears promptly flick back. This is no dream and there is most definitely some unknown stallion in her forest. A brief thought passes through her mind that perhaps Kasabian is back to try and steal Caesisus away but this man was too loud and shouted a different name. Jörmungandr knows no horse by the name of Macabre. If it is in her forest too, then it shall be dealt with as promptly as she is about to deal with her current intruder.

Picking up a brisk stride, she makes her way towards the sound of lumbering hooves and angry calls. If Macabre were here, Jörmungandr doubts it would want to respond to such a manner of calling. She curses inwardly, as the snow begins to fall again. There hasn’t been much yet but the ground is frosty under foot and small white patches have collected until the shade of the trees. Soon, it would consume most of the forest.

She breaks from the trees, finally locking her gaze onto the intruder. For a moment she falters, taken aback by his battered and weary appearance. That does not last however and she soon presses her ears deeper into her mane; pulling her head into her chest and squaring her stance.

She stands, blocking the path to the herd and growls one warning, ”Get out”

((ooc)) Since I'm going to be away for two weeks, if it gets to my turn and I'm not back feel free to just say that Gandy continues to block his path and be generally intimidating. If he's chatting to whoever she'll just be glaring and preparing to chase him off. If it's only Macabre who shows up then she'll probably just try and chase the pair of them out wordlessly. I'll most likely be checking in most days so drop me a line on the ooc board if you need more detail :D
