Back on the bus Posted on September 16, 2014 at 03:26:45 AM by Nath Rockhill
The latest post from Mark Spurr of Quaker Oaks Farm, who drives a Carden school bus:
On a fairly mundane day, there were things that stood out. My bus suddenly stopped by a fresh cut golden field of wheat. This was not a malfunction, it was 42 Sand Hill Cranes, that applied the brakes. For every child on that bus, we hope your eyes will see through every mundane day.
On the farm, in the rain, our son soaked through, worked the land. A shot of rye, a hot shower and a good wood stove cooked meal, rewarded his time at Quaker Oaks Farm.
