Here you can post questions, comments or concerns for the Global Mods. You can email us at lostislands.staff@gmail.com if the matter is private, though please let us know as this address is not checked daily. You are also welcome to @Global Mods in the Discord server, or message us privately, but please be patient if we are busy or not online.

This is where you need to post to officially put yourself on away. If you are going to be away from the site or unable to post regularly for an extended period of time, you may go on away for up to one month, during which your characters will be protected from things like battles, raids and escapes. After this you and your characters will be considered inactive, and you will need to rejoin should you return.

For the sake of clarity, please clearly state 'away' or 'semi-away' in the subject line of your post, and make a new post stating 'back' on your return. While you are away you cannot post in-character, and any in-character posts will be classed as you returning and your characters will no longer be protected from that point.

You may also let us know here that you are 'semi-away', meaning posts from you will be slow, but all normal rules still apply to you.

If you wish to quit the game, please leave us a message here to let us know, though be aware that any characters without lineage (i.e. those who were not born or bred in-game) will be deleted from the Members page. All other characters will be listed as inactive unless you request for them to be deleted.

My initial concerns were brought up on the battle board in our specific battle thread. Chaos left me a note about something unrelated on the OOC board, in which I responded and prompted her to review the note on the battle board. She responded on the OOC instead -- as did Polecat -- so I take no credit in starting the discussion on the OOC board. I ended the thread by asking Chaos to email me or reach out on AIM. No one did, which is cool. It's over. Though I have no clearer distinctions on the construction of battle posts as I had on that day. (and honestly believe I was penalized for trying to be extra clear in my posts.)

As for the steal post, I understand why the rules are in place. I probably should have waited until I returned, though after reviewing the rules, I worried that my post would be invalidated if too much time had passed. (My career requires me to travel frequently, and travel plans can change by the hour depending on the news of the day, so I wasn't 100 percent sure of my return trip.) That said, I waited to post until the correct time. I set an alarm on my phone to remind me. I had a few minutes before boarding my plane, and waited until 3:51 to post. I obviously clicked the button to create a new post before that, which I think is why its time stamped the way it is. I was on my iPad at the airport with funky wireless access, but I do know I waited until the correct time.

It's one thing if the steal wasn't clear enough and that's why its not valid. But that's not the issue here. I understand the rules and respect them, but I swear I was within the limit.
