FOR ALL THE THINGS I'VE DONE

It does not take long for Dickerie to start explaining about her past – however before this happens she admits to knowing Valentine his new neighbor. Lyden learned that her and Hickerie went to visit the peculiar colored man and a frown crosses his face when the gorgeous mare beside him tenses as though she is in trouble for visiting somewhere else. ”oh honey of course its okay that you visit other places. I don’t own you or anyone else” nodding briefly to his own words Lyden takes a moment to study Dickerie wondering what her thoughts are.

Falling silent Lyden shifts his weight between his pale limbs while soft pinners flick back in a calm idle way listening to how Dickerie and her two sisters ended up here. Oak trees caught Lydens attention knowing that the forest is filled with them along with maple, willow, apple, and ferns gaping across the vast landscape offering trails to explore that seemed endless. ”I’m sorry you had a difficult time before you three ended up here. You shouldn’t have had to defend Dock, especially against your own father” anger flicks through his eyes as he watches Dickerie intently.

If her father ever decided to come search for them he’d most definitely have to get threw Lyden first. ”poor Hickerie, I can’t imagine how hard that must have been on her” he pauses considering her last statement on how all she wanted was to go back home since they’ve come but now she is glad they are here. This makes him smile wide like a school boy who got his first crush on a pretty girl. It even causes him to shake his head – if he could blush he would. ”I’m really glad you’re here as well Dickerie”.

His expression changes becoming softer – mirroring the flood of feelings that washed through him as he stood next to this spectacular mare. ”I have a sister as well, Sylvia” thinking of her Lyden lowers his head submissively ”she’s a little older then I, absolutely beautiful and completely head over heels in love with Midas, who” he trails off dragging his eyes from Dickerie ”who now is presumed to have passed on. “ the thought makes his chest clench ”my sister has never been with anyone but him and even when he left chasing after another mare my sister stayed faithful and waited, and waited.” Lyden feels his throat tighten ”I have a strong nephew, Elliot he’s just about your age perhaps a bit younger. And a niece, Claire. She was living in the prairie with Sirius before he challenged for it. I’m not sure where they ended up but it worries me with her being heavily pregnant and all” Lyden secretly prays that Claire is safe and perhaps would come stay here with him, at least then he would know she’d be safe. ”you’d like them all, Sylvia in particular. She’s always had a way with making others like her without trying”
