The pain was beginning to ebb, to much of his relief, but as the adrenaline begins to wear off, exhaustion sets in. With a heavy sigh he drops his heavy head lower, he needed to lay down and rest. The past few weeks had begun to take its toll on the grullo pony. Soon the fillies decided to take their game elsewhere, if he were to deny that he was relieved it would of been a lie. He did like foals, most of the time loved them but sometimes their playfulness tittered on the edge. As he watches them go, Alethi apologizes, and with that a slow tired smile creeps across his dark lips. "It is alright young lady, I accept your apology." When the fillies were out of earshot, he swivels his head towards Grai, a bit of relief relaxes him knowing that the stallion now stood here.
"What happened? I lost Macabre." He sighs, he knew that answer would not satisfy Grai, so he continues. "Dexter came to our shores, and I met him at the beach. We wrestled in the ocean, I tried to get the best of him, but he was too strong." A pained expression crosses his face, he had made a promise to Macabre to keep her safe, he had failed. He drops his gaze, trying to gather his strength to speak more. He closes his ochre eyes, trying to push the thoughts of utter defeat from his head, but could not.
"I am saddened, my dear friend." He had tried his best to chase of Dexter, but the sooty stallion had been that much stronger. He knew that Macabre had never wanted to be with Dexter, and now she wandered. Afraid and alone. With that thought, he began to think of Shiraz, she had left him to die. Alone. Perhaps she deserved the safe fate. "Shiraz...is dead."
