The sun was out; so were the birds. Noisy little creatures they were, but it was spring now, and everything seemed to come alive. It also meant the snow would be melting away soon, which saddened Ace, though not for long. She had a new object of interest, which required more of her attention than the season changes. Late last night she had wandered from the herd, yet still keeping them in her sights from her hideaway in the trees. She had come here to give birth, away from prying eyes, as was a natural thing to do. A little boy was what she had, and being her second birthing, there were no problems and everything went smoothly. The pair were ready to rejoin the herd now.

Breaking past the last few trees and into the clearing, Ace pauses and takes the time to look to her side at the leggy colt. He took his father's coloring, just like his sister had, though while she only carried white on her rump this little boy had a white belly that carried down each of his legs, and his face was white. He was a handsome little thing, and she couldn't wait to show him off.

Nudging his side, she gives him a reassuring smile when he looks rather doubtful at the far off sight of others. "It'll be okay," she croons softly, before moving off, with him at her side and matching her stride easily. Coming nearer to the group, she tosses her head up to call out for Soljor, knowing he wouldn't be to far with the dropping of foals happening with some of his ladies. Their little boy startled at the sound, shaking his head and tucking himself further into her side. She drops her gaze to him again, reaching down to nuzzle him. He was a cutie, and needed his name, which she would share when his father appeared.
