Silent people have the loudest minds
It was amazing to see how fast she picked up the act of walking and how chattery she was. Give and take it was just high pitched squeal and nicker, but nonetheless she was vocal. I didn't mind though, it broke the silence that always followed me. However, she was also a wanderer and keeping up with her adventures was no easy task. Not to mention she had no sense of direction. Regrettably I've already had to raise my voice due to her little excursions. Still, she had me wrapped around her little finger and she, as well as I, knew it. Today was no different.
As the herd remained gathered and as a single group, Fleyri decided to wander about. Didn't foals like staying near their mothers? Either way I went walking after her since she wasn't going anywhere fast. Calling out to her in a stern tone. Fleyri, get your little tail back over here. I didn't yell, but it was loud enough for her to turn her head around. Stopping in place only to squeal defiance. Shaking my head I trot in front of her my eyes showing a stern irritation.
Gently herding the foal back in the direction of the herd I gave her a snort. Stop wandering off or bad things will happen. Still, she didn't listen and went romping off ahead. Giving a shake of my head I once again followed her, thank goodness it was close to the herd, but still far from comfort. Again at a steady trot my frame pulled in front of the filly and her nose bumped into my side. Herd now. This time I was serious.
That is till her big blue eyes looked up. Shaking my head I gave a sigh. As long as you stay close to me and that the herd is seen. She gave an excited nicker and hopped around and thrashed her head about causing me to laugh.
