Boss's Decree

"For every brother you bring to our
midst, you may keep a trinket all to
yourself. She will not be sullied or traded, unless you deem otherwise. But should you bring a mare here without a new brother first, then I will consider her property of the Lagoon as a whole
and do with her as I see fit." - Garmr

Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

Léon paused in his stride as the other stallion set his ears back. However, the red roan figured that as this was his home, he shouldn’t be afraid. He took a few more steps, then stopped a reasonable distance. No need to press the personal space of the large stallion. Nope. Léon looked up, took a step back, and decided this was as good as he was going to get unless he could find a little mound to stand on. Height differences.

“Oh, well, welcome to the Lagoon then,” Léon offered. “I’m Léon.” The other horse was probably very new. He still smelled like saltwater. But not to know what the Lagoon was? Could he reasonably assume he wasn’t from the Islands at all? Probably.

“The Lagoon is… here,” Léon said. “It’s sorta a guy’s only spot. Sure, there’s a couple of girls around… but they aren’t supposed to stay long. There aren’t many of them either.” Unfortunately. At least, that’s what Léon’s personal opinion was now that he was getting interested in the females. “No herds in this place. Ya gotta go to the other islands for that.”

He shifted on his legs a bit. Should he ask for the stallion’s name? Should he ask where he was from? There were a lot of questions and he wasn’t sure if this guy was very conversational. He didn’t seem like it.

Oh well.

“So, did you come from the mainland?” Léon asked, unable to contain himself to just being the informant.
