STARdust

Stardust wondered what was up with the ruby colt as his tail disappeared into the Jungle. She decided it wasn’t her problem. It really wasn’t. If he was going through something rough, she’d just pay attention to the history lesson Tarrant was giving her. He seemed to know more than anyone. Another island? Soljor had told Stardust that once there were four territories to an island but a whole other island? She’d have to ask him about that when she went home.

Then Tarrant pointed out that it was getting late. Stardust looked up towards the sun. As she saw it she could either go home and avoid her dad’s late night patrol and mother’s check up or she could stay here and learn more from this interesting stallion. Perhaps the painted filly was too trusting or maybe she was just beginning to rebel. Either way, she made up her mind quickly.

“If ya don’t mind,” Stardust’s black tail snapped around, slapping the water. “I’d like to stick around for the night. Ya know, hear more about the islands, see somewhere else.” She shrugged. She stepped up out of the pool. “Not hear wolfsong at night.”

She smiled at his offer.

“So, what else is there to see in the Jungle?” She asked. She was certain she was going to have a fun night.
