Bright Moon - a land sullied by mystery and the ravaging scars of a terrible fire. Abandoned as a pack land for years, the terra has been used as a gathering place for the brazen and bloodthirsty drawn there by the lingering pall of death. Yet from the ashes there comes an unordained phoenix, the rainbow hues of hope glinting in her mismatched globes. Through the obsidian drapes obscuring the scenery, she alone was able to catch the perfumed aroma of new life on the breeze and hear the sluggish streams flowing ever swifter into the morning.

Thus, with a purpose, she set out to map the incognita, discovering daily the extent of the reawakening and unearthing within herself a desire to return the landscape to its former glory. Now she stands tall as privileged Alpha of the lands, lording over the rock-strewn prairie and bountiful forests with a firm but gentle paw.

Having finally realized her deepest longing to be a queen, Satowra is focused solely on the revival and maintenance of the Bright Moon Pack. Her question to each prospective warrior that comes to the border is simple:

"Do you have what it takes?"

Stupid. Idiotic. Immature. Short-sighted. These were all terms that Shae could use to describe her brothers, both of them. Akuji, though he had been in the right when he had killed the princess, had also been in the wrong because he had done it in privacy instead of revealing her to the public at large, ergo making it a personal murder as opposed to a just punishment, and that had cost him his own position. The femme understood that he had wanted to take revenge and hurt her as she had wounded his heart, but he should have instead drug her before the council and taken comfort in her public humiliation and subsequent execution. Now he was an exiled prince who was stuck being subservient to others. And in such a new, strange position, he had foolishly not only fallen for another femme, but had been naive enough to think that the proper way to go about hiding his emotions was to take another. In truth, Shae was proud of him for being open enough with the ess to be able to develop feelings for her, but was also disgusted with his weakness. Akuji had thought his weakness was that he loved Odessa... no, his weakness was that he did not have the strength to share that information with her. And now? Odessa was damaged goods, injured beyond repair. She had disappeared from Cold Summers and not returned... for all Shae knew, the Queen was dead. It troubled the ess that she was unable to pick up even a whiff of the ghost, for Shae was prided for her tracking skills, part of what made her so useful to their father.

Harries, on the other hand, had made a quite completely different error. He had, in his desire for power, taken up an apprentice and instead of straightened the strapping lad out and fixing his mottled mind, had taken advantage of it and warped it for his own amusement. Zorion now believed all femmes were devils set out to ruin the entirety of men at large, and that the only way they could be saved from their evil was to cleanse them with the seed of a brute. Clearly, the titan had once been sweet and kind, for though he had taken an ess, he had been 'gentle' and had done so to protect her for in his warped state of mind, he loved her. Poor Lady, she was too young to carry pups and no doubt would have trouble with birth, and it was clear how Zorion's fate would continue on, so the only course of action for Shae now was to clean up her brother's mess, ensuring that the pups would have a home, but spread them out so as not to lead to further investigation of the matter. It was a shame that Zorion would have to die, but it would save her brother the same fate and save their family from scrutiny. Thus Shae had been visiting Zorion at night, whispering suggestions into his ear, ones of confession. Zorion would indeed die.

Thus she had been searching for strategic places to plant the pups, where she could check in on them and be part of their upbringing, making them her allies and her spies. Forever was she growing her devious network of informants... it was rare that she ever missed anything. And now, she had chosen her first mark, a newly ascended Alpha who had been given his throne without battle or bloodshed, one who would have much to prove. Approaching his border, she daintily laid her bodice down upon the earth. She had approached the terra so that the wind was at her back, efficiently wafting her perfume into the lands, coursing through the environment. There was no need for her to announce herself, she would be discovered presently. A soft smile hiding her devious mask planted itself upon her lips and she crossed her limbs, resting her head upon them.
