all the pain and the truth

As she stares into her abyss the mare listens to the forest around her, hearing the ruffle of leaves in the wind, both the hundreds above, and the dead below. She hears, too, her tail swishing occasionally, and, of course, the voice of her companion.

Never does she expect one to guide her or help her around, maybe she would if it had been given to her as a constant in her life, but hence, it never has, only by very few. It doesn't make her so sad now, either, as she has grown strong because of it, and wise, in a way that, subjectively, others normally may not. No doubt does she encounter trouble on a daily basis, even with such trivial things, but with the burden of it all, truly does she persevere with admirable patience and perseverance.

It interests the pale lady, the fact that Isobel cannot speak; she has never met one who cannot do so. Usually Georgiana needn't announce her blindness, because in the moment she could say so, as soon as someone looks upon her face, they know, but, in contrast, Isobel's inability to speak cannot be seen, or spoken of by herself. She doesn't take pity on her, though. Pity is one of the things in this world Georgiana hates most, Georgiana feels she has no need for it; it does not get her anywhere, it does not take away the darkness, it only reminds her of it. It makes it sound so much more awful than what she has come to believe it is.

You could say pity is a sin to her.

Even though Georgiana has never met Isobel, she can guess that she doesn't need or want pity, but she also supposes one can never know. Both Braylen and Hickere have never expressed it to Georgiana herself and she is glad, though not surprised as many know that pity is unnecessary or helpful in comforting one such as Georgiana or Isobel. “I am sure she is.”She concurs, for a moment wondering just how Isobel and herself will communicate if no one was there to pass the message along, though perhaps there is a way. She then just laughs gently at the lady's compliment, though truly appreciating it.

Contently the mare listens to Hickere's next words, intrigued when she spoke of having two sisters, full-sisters, or half? Hm. Also intrigued is she when she hears Hickere was the only one to join Braylen's herd. Being the good listener she is, Georgiana's smile widens as she grows suspicious of Hickere's feelings towards Braylen, noticing the change of tone in her voice quite easily, however, most definitely not jumping to conclusions and, furthermore, not pointing it out like an idiot. Who does that? Not Georgiana.

“I find I have to agree with you about this forest,” she leaves an ever so slight but deliberate pause,”and Braylen.” Holding back a wink the mare just chuckles softly when she finishes speaking. If she could see she would be studying Hickere's expression now, though she's sure that the kind mare is quite happy at the moment, and Georgiana hopes the two of them can always share their happiness the way they are now, as if they've known each other much longer, so in the future they can support each other much like sisters should.

”I hope I can one day meet your siblings, too, as I hope to meet everyone else in this territory,” Georgiana says whimsically, “Perhaps you could one day introduce them to me?”
