Singing the song that's inside us all.
Much is known to the heart that cannot be expressed, much that is almost entirely forgotten in the course of an education which concerns itself with learning to express quite other things.
But one thing is certain, namely, that a river is most empathetically not a river.
Drops of water flow, cascading and gliding down rocks of which been worn down from years of decay. A never ending stream of glistening liquid, so vibrant and calming. Nature's course, each a drop of life just calling out to me.
Time seems to stop as I rest before the small fall. The rushing sound flooding my ears, and the spraying mist coating my pelt, which glittered with the rays of sunlight casting upon the dew.
I close my eyes a moment, to feel the water run through my veins. I almost wish that I could run with it, but it will only lead me nowhere. Ember burning eyes catch the sight once more, and a smile pulls at the corners of my lips. The decisions I've made these passed few days have genuinely altered my soul, and there is still much to do. But, for now, I will rest here.
Or... Or maybe I shall take a short stroll... Venturing always seems to get the best of me. Besides, I believe that I've basked in the beauty of the falls long enough, now. The day is splendid and still anew, so I will take that stroll that my limbs long for. There is still much to see, and wolves to meet.
Gentle paws met the rocks as my small frame pranced. My head dipped a bit low as though my prance were still a bit lazy. Red ears swiveled, catching any sound that echoed around, preferably for a bite of fresh meat.
Maybe I can fetch a rodent of some sort. I had just left the water sort full of crawfish, so maybe... Just maybe I can find a raccoon.
The sun has moved a little across the sky now, and I've finally spotted my dinner. With eyes set aflame, and the hunger eating at my backbone, I begin to stalk the little critter. Gladly, I've found my luck, and came across the appetite I was searching for.
I ended up circling back around to the falls... Or is this just another? It seems oddly familiar, yet the water flows and falls at another direction.
Shaking my head, I notice I'm off task and focus on the plump creature, who is tearing into their own food source. I take cover, happy to see my dinner stuff itself for me. I was just about to go for the goal when something else caught my attention. Satellites perk forward, as my head lifts above the tall weeds, placing myself in plain sight. I looked cautiously for the distraction before glancing back over to the raccoon, only to see the large ball of grey-blue fur wobble off at a fast pace.
"Damn." I hiss, pushing myself farther into the open in attempts to catch my fast food.
If we don't open our eyes we're walking blind.
