Boss's Decree

"For every brother you bring to our
midst, you may keep a trinket all to
yourself. She will not be sullied or traded, unless you deem otherwise. But should you bring a mare here without a new brother first, then I will consider her property of the Lagoon as a whole
and do with her as I see fit." - Garmr

Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

I NEVER LOOKED back

those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it
I didn’t know what to say as the words tumbled out of Xina’s mouth. I looked at her. Watched her. There was no lie. But I didn’t know quite what was going on in her head. She certainly hadn’t seemed, well, right before. The way she looked at me. The way she looked at the environment. But thankfully, that seemed to be over. The words that came out next they made sense.

I knew there had to be something wrong with Sahin if he hadn’t come. I was pretty sure now that he never would. He’d disappeared again. Maybe that was a thing with stallions. I hung my head a little. Death? Who had died? Mera? I looked at Xina.

“‘Oo dahed, Xeenuh?” I looked at her. I was glad to hear Conquistador was still there. At least Sokka had someone around. I was relieved that my boy was alright. She encouraged me to go to him and I was about to eagerly announce my intent. Then I let it settle in. “Ah can’ bring ‘im da dis place.” I stated. I should go all the same. “Ah’ll beh dead fer Ah seeh un o’ mine in dis pid o’ cobras.” I stamped against the ground. My eyes met Xina’s. “Bud Ah will guh da ‘im soon. Ah dink Ah can find a way da sneak oudda ‘ere.” I looked around.

I hoped the other men hadn’t heard of this. But that cursed black seemed to sneak around these parts. Who knew what he heard. In any event, he was never going to get his hooves on my precious little boy. I meant what I said about this place. This cursed, dark, death-filled place.
