Boss's Decree

"For every brother you bring to our
midst, you may keep a trinket all to
yourself. She will not be sullied or traded, unless you deem otherwise. But should you bring a mare here without a new brother first, then I will consider her property of the Lagoon as a whole
and do with her as I see fit." - Garmr

Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

Léon was moody. Why was he moody? He kept replaying his father’s actions not too long ago over and over. Also his mother still hadn’t popped her brown and black head back into the Lagoon and he couldn’t track her down. Mares were annoying and he was getting anxious to do something. He danced about on his light feet. He’d been wanting to go explore for a while now. Perhaps he should actually do that rather than sit on his butt and do nothing.

He was interrupted from his musings by a call. Oh, now that was interesting. He tossed his head and cantered off towards the noise. He arrived and there was a black horse in the clearing. He eased up on his smooth, Arabian gait and looked around. There was also a colt his age, this one a dun he hadn’t met. But that wasn’t important, this colt was his age! He needed more friends his own age. Older stallions just had all this annoying baggage.

He trotted into the clearing.

“Hi there,” He said. His ears flicked as the colt spoke. He smiled. “I’m Léon. Where have you been hiding, Fiero? I’ve been the only colt in the Lagoon forever!” His voice extended the forever. It might have sounded a bit whiny or exasperated. In short, he had had no one to play with or drag into the trouble he craved. His eyes flashed to the dark stallion and once again Léon was reminded that he was a little guy with light hooves.

He was never going to live this down.
