I had felt so out of place, not feeling as if I was solid enough in my own place here to ever approach anyone in the herd, other than Braylen and Hickere. It was hard for me to open up to others when I couldn’t speak. It was a brick wall that I was having a large difficulty overcoming. I needed to open up, I knew that, I just felt so useless really. I wasn’t much of a use in a herd, without the ability to talk verbally, I was unable to do a lot of things that was needed. A lot of the times I wound up walking the boundaries, my advanced hearing tuned into the sounds that would go on around me, hoping I would be able to catch anything that was not needed within the land. I had yet to find anything that was suspicious or fear-inducing.

My mind wandered today, thinking back to the conversation I had with Braylen, well, more like he spoke and I listened and responded the best I could. I wondered silently if he was still feeling the same way, that he would want to start a family this coming season. It was coming up here pretty soon, which made me really nervous actually. I did want to be a mother, I just didn’t want to disappoint Braylen in any way. The summer sun shone brightly today, its warming rays beating down on my multi-colored coat. I found myself wandering back into the main area of the herdland, back in from the borders. I was a bit away from the clearing when I heard a call for me, so I moved slowly, my head raising to bob once before I moved a bit quicker towards the voice.

I found myself approaching the other female, she must be the third girl that Braylen had, Georgiana. I had yet to meet her, and found myself nervous as I approached her, bobbing my head up and down in greeting, a smile on my face as I came to a stop.
