A'idah
A promise is a cloud, rain is fulfillment
The sweltering heat beats down on the chestnut, but it was a heat that the arabian had grown accustomed to. She could feel the beads of sweat beginning to pool beneath the flaxen mane that touched her neck. A few dreadlocks hung amongst the long strands of her mane, it was something that her god had gifted her. A sigh escapes her delicate nostrils, she halts at the border that seperated the Desert from the Dunes. A strong male scent assaults her nostrils, she only knew the name of this new territory because of Orhan. The thought of him pained her, she had felt as if he could be trusted, she even deep down had developed feelings for him. He had showed her kindness, when every rule of his mother had told him to kill her on sight. But she turns away from the thought, it was too late, they both now had to go their separate ways. Or else she would find herself another carcuss in the sand.
She steps across the border, accepting that there could be consequences for her actions, but she almost did not care. She picks up a ground covering trot, a gait that she had acquired from her travels within the deserts of her home. Her honey eyes search for any sign of an oasis, she knew that she would need water soon. Her tongue felt as if it were sandpaper within her mouth. She travels for another hour, her hooves were beginning to grow heavy. She ascends the next dune, and halts on the top, searching for any green that might make a sudden appearance.
Her tail flags out behind her, as a soft breeze whips her crimson tail around her hocks. She closes her honey eyes and sucks in the hot air, it calmed her soul. She opens her eyes and searches for any dark dot on the horizon.
