War and Peace

Soljor moved at a brisk pace with Jedi somewhat struggling to keep up. Jedi had been the lucky one to get to accompany him on patrols today. The colt was deciding that this wasn’t as fun as he’d originally thought. He was still too young to get to go into the foothills or mountains (not that Soljor knew he went there on his own). This meant that the “fun” places were off limits and all he got to do was follow the larger stallion about the valley and herd.

In passing the mares, Jedi noticed a familiar figure escaping the group. He perked up. Another foal to play with! What had been her name? She was the pretty painted one. Hollow? Nemien? Uh…

Soljor’s eyes noted the filly too and he smiled. He diverted his path to intercept hers, and Jedi greedily followed. His little, light legs had to work hard to keep up with his father’s.

“Hollowshank,” Soljor called. Hollowshank! That had been her name! Jedi was glad he remembered. Well, sort of. They’d only played together once and there had also been the spotted filly. Was she around here too? He didn’t see her. Soljor, meanwhile approached his daughter. She was taking after her mother it seemed as she was already taller than most of her siblings. He came to a stop near the filly. “So, what are you up to today?”

Jedi crossed the space.

“Hi,” He greeted the filly.
