Soljor’s ears dropped back as Lyden ‘greeted’ them. He hadn’t expected a warm welcome by any means. He himself always looked at a stallions suspiciously. But he would never speak like that. Even had Lyden come looking to collect something from him, at the least Soljor wouldn’t have run him off.

Well right away.

But before he can say or do anything Fly slipped her body between them. It was a clear tactic to keep anything from occurring and she was probably wise to do so. Soljor spotted Lyden’s blue eyes running over Stardust. His ears flicked back. He did not want the cremello anywhere near his daughter. If their interactions had taught him one thing, it was that the cremello was not stable.

Soljor moves to give Peyton a reassuring muzzle. He knew the girl was a skittish thing. Honestly, he sort of preferred that to Stardust’s reckless one. He didn’t have to worry about Peyton wandering off and getting herself into trouble. Stardust, meanwhile, was thinking of doing exactly that as adult conversation was boring her. Soljor noticed her attempt to escape and called her back with a call and hoof stamp.

Lyden then offered for them to remain.

“Sweet!” Stardust exclaimed, giving half a jump. “Come on Peyton…”

“No,” Soljor stated, freezing the filly in her tracks. “We came for information and we got it. Let’s go.” He took a few steps forward to tap Fly on the withers.

“But, Daddy,” Stardust whined.

“Now, Stardust,” Soljor snorted. Stardust’s mind worked. There could be any number of reasons to manage to convince him to let them stick around a bit. She was oblivious to the growing tension between stallions. She knew of no history. Instead, all she wanted was to explore a bit. But, Soljor’s set tone and ears made it clear that he no longer wanted to remain.

Any argument she had would fall on deaf ears. She glanced at her mother and sister. She did hope they would give her some form of help in this.
