a promise is a cloud

A'idah

A promise is a cloud, rain is fulfillment

Honey kissed eyes meet his gaze for a split second, a snort escapes her delicately thin nostrils. What was he looking at? As the moment passes, she focuses back on the cooling waters at her hooves. The ripples lap against the hardened sand of the shores, one after the other in a rhythmic pattern. There was disturbance as the painted bahema slops himself from the cooling waters. She could feel his gaze as he ventures closer, she waits until he is within a few steps before she swivels her dished crown in his direction. She raises her crown higher until she is looking down her sloping nose at him. She warily eyes the stranger as he speaks words that she did not understand.

"Salaam. But alas Behema I do not speak your tongue." She waits for his reaction to her shortness. Her curved ears flicker at him. She knew that she had nothing to fear from him, if he touched her, he would have to answer to Olaf. Yet, she could not bring herself to even remotely favor Olaf. What had brought such a thick boned horse to the Desert? Did he not know that her kind was bred and had adapted to such an unforgiving climate? Even the skinny painted stallion was more suited for the desert.

She pivots away from the water's edge, she seeks out the shade that she had originally found shelter under. She settles in comfortably beneath her shade tree, its relief was almost instantaneously. Her honey colored eyes remain on the painted stallion. "Wassla ana... Join me." Were the only words she spoke, she would hate for him to think that she actually wanted his company. But at least he wouldn't die on her watch.
