and have my organs laid on ice Posted on December 10, 2014 at 03:23:14 PM by RATTLEBONE
Soljor had proved to be a strong and capable lead stallion, not to mention a pleasant companion. While she may be older than most of his mares, she was in her prime and so, with a stable home and a strong roll model for her potential child, it was no surprise that thoughts of having another drifted into her mind. She was not the biggest fan of Tinuvel's climate, but it could nurture a stronger foal in the long run, one caapble of surviving whatever harshness the world could throw at it.
The pale mare smiles amusedly, letting her gaze drift up the path toward the herd, ”Mmmm, I've noticed. You will certainly have a lot to keep an eye on this year. We all will.”. The foal shifted in her belly, as if acknowledging that they had mentioned it. The tall mare bobbed her head at the painted stallion's next words, agreeing. ”Yes. We are a stronger herd because of it. In the warmth it is all too easy for individuals to hide away. Here, we must stick together. She would prefer for the caribou to move away from their resources when they had so much space to do so but she understood why the remained close to the herd. It made more targets for predator, reducing the risk to a single individual being caught not to mention the fact that Soljor's presence could alert them to danger and possibly drive it off.
