In the name of the King!

Braylen had wanted to pick up speed; to at least move out into a trot but the young stallion didn't. He patiently kept his pace so that his blind companion could keep up with him. It was the first time he had seen her uncomfortable, her nose bumping against his barrel rather than his hip to show how disorienting it was for her. Braylen even passed her a few worried glances, glad that she couldn't see the look on his face as he wondered how she ever made it to the Crossing alone.

A rock face and a thicker stand of trees loomed ahead and Braylen gave pause as he wondered the best way to take her through them. It was the best shelter he knew of this close and with a sigh reached his nose back towards hers. "The trees are extra thick here. I'm taking us to a rock face. So stay right behind me, the path is extremely narrow." he warned before he slowly started to weave among the trees.

A few times his widening shoulders had scraped against the bark; the rough texture softened slightly from the rain water that ran down the pilars. But once they reached the rock face he twisted himself around; nearly having to bend in two to manage such a manuever. "I'm sorry its so tight." he apologized, but as of now the ran was no longer falling on them. Only a light mist and a few drops from the leaves above them. Only wise the wind carried the rain over their heads and what little it didn't the canopy overhead sheltered them away.
