Here’s the thing—Delya fucking loves the snow. The tall creature has this habit of absolutely frolicking in it. It’s silly, and she doesn’t care. The way it falls from the sky, the sound it makes when she squish squishes through it, every last bit of the optimist is absolutely enthralled with it. Tall and light and graceful over the snow, playing, even if she has to play alone. It felt fantastic and beautiful and just… took her breath away. There was something that she couldn’t say no to when there was snow falling. The cold, even with her fine frame, felt good.
It was dry, and it stung her lungs. Through the meadow, the girl romped, tail wagging. There’s something so pure about the snow when it’s like this, and she was splashing and rolling through the drifts. Thin and light and fast, barking and taking bites out of the snow, stretching through herself and absolutely enjoying… everything. Enjoying it all, with bright eyes and a tender gaze. How much could one creature love the world around her? A lot. She had a home and a family, two things that she’d been hard pressed to find growing up. Fantastic. Absolutely fantastic, and everything that was in her lungs was absolutely electric.
There was a scent she was unfamiliar with, a scent on the wind. Delya splashed her way through the shallow snow, making her way towar—oop. There it was, a howl, the someone wanted to talk to her too. Though her romping didn’t stop, it now had a direction, long strides and steps sending snow flying in all directions. “Hello, friend!” Friend—she sounded like a friend, if not family. That would be nice, to see someone that was… friendly. Friendly was good. Friendly was fantastic. “Name’s Delya, anything—er, anyone I can help you find?” The beta of the pack, she was usually on top of that.
