you love me at once

Oh misty eye of the mountain below...

"That's not true." He just couldn't help himself. As much as he loved his sister... and his brother for that matter, Rownan felt a loyalty and respect due to both his mother and father that Harlequin seemed to have forgotten. He had seen her that morning. She was getting lack in her carefulness when trekking into the unknown. He had seen her standing on the rocky shores that morning alone, with her proud head tilted towards the crossing island. He had just decided to join her in eyeing the distant lands, dreaming of a day when they could all venture far from the Bay but return when the time came. Unlike his siblings with their dark faces offset by brilliant white forelocks he was the opposite. His face was white, his muzzle only brushed with the faintest of dark ash gray. The long flowing locks that cascaded across his refined features were black, giving him what he felt was a more manly and distinguished look... he liked to remind Jedi of this every occasion he could. Unlike himself, Jedi seemed constantly worried about how feminine his looks were. It was true that despite how large and muscled their father was, and the fact that they were still young and growing, both regained much of their mother's fine boned Arabic features... just their father's long locks which of course, when pressing the right buttons, sent Jedi off the deep end. It was fun really, when the time for drama of some kind demanded it... but right now he did not fully intend on causing drama... instead he felt obliged to tell the truth.

Dark brown eyes cast a steady gaze at his older sister as he comes to stand beside mother's silvery side. "You left the Bay" he chided glaring at her with suspicion and hidden longing. "Where did you go Harlequin?" he asked, genuinely curious now. Alabaster white ears stand alert amid the dark tresses that settle neatly along his brow. Salt and pepper whipcord lash lazily against his muscular haunches as he stands there expectantly. He knew she would be mad at him for outing her in front of mother but he just was not about to see anyone lie to the silverling mare. Not that he believed the alabaster mare was completely oblivious to the antics of her children, but none the less he felt it his obligation to fill in what pieces of the puzzle he could.
