The Carden Alvar Christmas Bird Count will be held this coming Saturday, January 3, 2015. What better way to start off the New Year and your 2015 bird experience than to take part in this count. The count starts on Jan. 3rd at the Lake Dalrymple Community Centre at 8:30 a.m. I would expect several Snowy Owls to be reported on this count this year since there are so many in the area and they like to hunt on open ground that is found at Carden.
