It’s my que to bolt and run
She’ll steal my heart, is what I fear
And use it for her own fun
My mind says go ahead be bold
But my heart’s afraid of harm
She has a gentle honest soul
And a demeanor filled with charm
Her compassion touched the inner me
Her kindness moved my soul
Should I say, “let’s do and see”
Could her love make me whole?
Her soft-spoke gentle caring praise
Will show me how to trust
If she pursues in subtle ways
Then my heart will adjust.
