To all those who have yet to find their FIRST LOVE
Elusive dove on wing you soar
Never to enter my heart’s door.
Seek I
the secret amulet baits
To coax you in as my heart waits.
Hoped I
you’d come to wisdom’s age
Foiled as you perched on youth’s guild cage.
Thought I
perhaps being a man of means
Could somehow intertwine our dreams.
Wished I
these dreams would kindle fire
But dove just soared a little higher.
Prayed I
to the Spirit from above
"Grant to me at least one dove."
Planned I
success within His word
But I was sent a different bird.
ELUSIVE DOVE my heart will wait
Perched here alone if that be my fate.
