On-line friendships are hit and miss
Too much of that and short on this
They’re made and lost with little thought
Of what they cost and what I’m taught
So many on my Buddy List
Who don’t pop-up but never missed
While others show up everyday
For a quick Hello then go away
Then someone special comes along
Perhaps the queen of my love song
I hold of on my standard moves
For fear she’ll bolt and I will loose
If I could know what’s in her heart
The gun would sound, the race would start
And the love I stored my lifetime through
I’d heap on her as my dreams come true.
An on-line love would touch my soul
It would help to make me whole
It’d be as if my life just started
Cause without love I’m broken hearted
