This is my Fate.
He was making his way around, doing his work and trying to keep the nearly same-sized brute out of his way. The den was large sure, but it didn’t mean that in his haste Haziel wasn’t prone to potentially running into another wolf and tripping over him. It was best to have less bodies in his way while he tried to do what he had to do. So when he heard the second voice his ears twitched not turning around as he knew who it was just by her voice and scent. Her worry was well placed, Everlyse was not doing so well and Haziel was indeed working to prevent the true angels from taking her away from this world. It would take some work but Delya was wrong in assuming that he couldn’t do this all on his own. One extra set of paws was fine seeing the small white fem was just barely on the edge of consciousness but two?
He couldn’t deny as she spoke to him it wasn’t helpful, he could hear Ifrit obeying his words and starting to clean the pups. How rough it was didn’t really matter it would stimulate and get them clean either way and they were his after all so it was best that could be provided to them while he worked. They were all breathing, one large, one pretty small, though with the mother and father that only made sense, but the one breathing and silent was a curiosity. He knew what it likely was but he would need more time to observe her. Later though. For now he wished to keep his focus on the mother.
”I am understanding you are nervous and of the friendship you hold, Steward… But you will only be in my way. If you would like you may wait outside until I finish my work or go home, but don’t come in. I have enough bodies around, and you being scared and panicking down her will not help my patient live.” He spoke short and quickly. He didn’t have time to deal with someone else here. If he wanted or needed help Haziel would have brought Viserys along, someone who actually had a sibilance of what he was saying and doing. But he didn’t bring the boy along. This was an emergency, he needed to think he needed his space to move and work undisturbed by others asking questions, Haziel was doing all he could for her on his own currently. He didn’t feel bad for telling his higher up he didn’t need her, she was free to wait outside for him to finish but until then it was best she remain out of the way.
Ridding of the small distraction and turning back to work he was surprised to hear a the gruningt and movements, the shuffling of dirt where he assumed the woman’s head to be. She seemed to have enough strength to apparently threaten him and he almost wanted to stick his muzzle right in her mouth to prove a point that he wasn’t about to be hurting anyone and nor was she. Her head went crashing back to the floor though, helpless weak and tired though still growling and fighting. That was what he wanted to see. Some fire, some spark of life in her being. It gave him some hope that perhaps she wouldn’t be fading from the world today. A sound of approval came to his maw before smelling out his herbs. He began to start chewing on the fresh sundrop to make it easier for Everlyse to swallow the bitter taste in his mouth ignored for the time being as he chewed on the whole of the plant. It wouldn’t taste good, but Haziel was taking the brunt of that part away. Her plea met his ears, shuttering as her whole body said the two words.
”That’s what I am here for.” He said between chews of the scurvy tasting herb before bowing his head over her own hearing the rumble of the same sized wolf that had placed himself behind her and with the pups. He let out another little grunt of affirmation though something told him if she tried to actually harm him it would cause only her harm. He was strong enough even if she was healthy to probably hold her down. ”Here, swallow this. It tastes bad but it will help you with that pain and help fight infections and swelling.” he lapped up the poppy seeds before essentially rolling the paste and seed combo into her mouth bit by bit so she could swallow it with hopefully not too much trouble. Once done he rolled tilting her head up regardless.
”I think she will be fine. Time and hopefully some carefully given doesages of certain herbs will bring her around in a few hours and hopefully then she could feed her pups. Delya… if you are still there fetch her something to eat for when she awakens.” He would have asked Ifrit should the girl not have been there but he was sure she wanted to help. ”Then you will have your time to visit upon your return.” Haziel assured her. Before placing a paw gently on Everlyse’s side and letting his blind eyes just focus down ears perked up listening for any changes. Soon he hoped she would even out and perhaps come back to them, her pups would be okay for a while but if she didn’t get her energy up soon he would have to see about having another mother or two take parts of the litter until she did. Really he didn’t want to take the pups away from her or any mother but he knew she didn’t want them getting ill or weak either so it was up to her and the herbs use and see if it would bring her around now.
