show me where forever dies
It is as she is laying there, the slow rumble of growl breaking her parted lips that her ears twitch and turn to where she knows her children squirm. The wet soil marred by her blood seems to cling with a desperation to her white coat. She is unsure if her bleeding has slowed or still continues to spill, all she feels is the pain and the weakness of her body that forces her to lay like some corpse while the world moves on. Blinking lids, as eyes are still fixated on the dark form of the male who is unknown, still leery of him yet knowing Ifrit would not have allowed him so close if he posed a threat. At the words of her red giant does she seem to fall lax once more but despite his almost kind tone, it is the scolding threat he gives that her body instantly obeys despite her mental objection as she huffs at her red oaf. Listening as he steps over her, bracing herself as he settles behind her. There is a comfort in his presence as she sighs heavily, eyes closing at the sounds of cleaning tongues.
The voice of the unknown male is then heard as she opens her eyes once again, her vision still dim as she looks up at him. Though her growl had been silenced her jaws still gaped. That was what he was here for.. Was he the medic? How come she had not yet seen him before? It is then she remembers that it is hard to meet anyone when she had secluded herself to her den due to her massive belly and missing bond. Her nose wrinkles scenting the air once again as she finally picks up scents that she can only assume are medicines, the male's words once again breaking through the pounding heart in her ears. At the first stroke of his tongue she tenses, her body screaming at the pain of that motion until she realizes he is feeding her the things that will perhaps make her feel better. The first taste of the paste is slightly bitter yet that does not stop her from rolling it around in her mouth before swallowing all that he was giving. It is when he tilts her head back does she find it much easier to swallow. Uncaring of what she had just ate just so long as it helped ease her in some way and keep that darkness that swarms her at bay.
She listens to his words, yet the only thing she seems to fixate on is that everything will be fine. A rushed burst of air escapes her. She hears Delya leave, her lingering words almost lost to her ears. Yet she does not fault her friend for leaving no matter her reason she is just so glad she came. It is when the male mentions food does she feel a slight ache of hunger in her belly, perhaps is was the blood loss or grueling hours of labor but she could certainly do with some food at the moment and perhaps a year long nap. At the slight touch of a paw at her belly does she hold her breath, jaws closing as her teeth grind at the discomfort no matter how gentle he may be. As her breathing momentarily escalates further before falling and tapering off to a much more decent rate. And then a peek of release.
Gently does her eyes close, as the pain seems to fade slightly - though still present it seemed to have be controlled by whatever she had been given. As a whimper of relief escapes her, with a rasped whisper of thanks. Laying there just soaking in the brief escape even if it was not more permanent, she knows it will take time for her body to heal. She is unsure how long she lay so still, yet never giving into her need for sleep. She wanted to enjoy this lapse in pain before it began to return and she would probably be given another dose. For this is first time in weeks her body felt at peace, not swollen by four children, not screaming in pain at their birth, and her heart not aching for someone she missed. She feels as if she is floating but these are not the murky waters in her dream, just a peaceful pool. As she feels at slight tug at her belly, for it seemed one of her children had discovered their new found hunger and how to sate it. Using the weight of Ifrit at her back she pushes against him, swallowing the discomfort of her body as she slowly tries to curl in on herself. Her eyes are finding more images than before, as she takes a glimpse of the healer before continuing, trying not to stress her body out further yet determined to see her children.
The sight and scent of her blood draws her first, her back end looking as if it had been dipped in red. She would deal with that later for it is then her orange eyes come into contact with a large black female, her daughter. For a brief moment with her head tucked in her curled position she allows a tear to fall at the sight, yet this one is filled with happiness instead of pain. Eyes shift as they take in a massive male, the first one she had birthed and she cannot help the pride despite he had not made it easy for her. The next is a white male and though smaller than the first two his size is still large. For a moment she wants to bask in the fact that her son resembles her color but is distracted by the image of a small thing, what is that? Wet and squirming, she is by far the smallest - almost as if she is fragile. A slight growl escapes as a rush of protective instincts roar at the sight of her little daughter. Four, half and half. Too tired to pick them up and shift them closer to join their already feeding sister, she extends her legs despite the fact it feels like lead as she moves to push them towards her to her belly, mindful not to harm them. Sighing in relief as she feels their mouths joining in.
As her head lay in the dirt watching the children they shift to take a glimpse of Ifrit as a rasped whisper breaks,
"Giant, go kill me something." A weak smile at her lips, knowing he would jump at the chance to shed some blood after that ordeal. As she looks back at her children furthering whispering names, forcing her body to this last request before she slept.
"Your... mini giant.. Vladimir." Such a fitting name for the bloody son of her brawling mate.
"The black female.. So quiet and fierce... Camilla." She is drawn to that child, for she has yet to make any sound in her observations.
"Our white son.. With his bulk.. Panzer." As she smiles gently, pleased her white coat has been given to one of them. And then she turns to the smallest, almost dwarfed by her siblings.
"The little red one.. So lovely and fragile.. Semele." All so beautiful to her as she feels her lids grow heavy, the scent of the male, Ifrit, and her children giving her comfort, knowing for in this moment she is safe, they are safe, and the pain is at bay for the time. So she gives into her body allowing it to rest, to heal and restore herself. So that when Ifrit returns she will have some strength to feed. Snoring slightly as a smile seems carved into her lips.
take the fall and run to heaven
