Aelthi was mad at her mother, which wasn't anything new, but this time it seemed the dun girl's fire wouldn't be extinguished so easily with a few calming words and a cuddle. She went racing further inland, where it was far more rocky and dangerous. Soda sent Naomi after her daughter, trusting her sister not to let Alethi do too much harm to herself. What was the reason for all the drama though? The palomino had finally told her girl the truth on her father.
Had Soda hoped she'd just accept it and move on? Maybe. Soda had when her father told her of her mother, whom she loved despite everything. Alethi was a totally different case it seemed, blaming Soda for the reason her father wasn't here and a small part of the palomino knows her daughter is right. She could have left with Asp while still pregnant, given the girl her family, but if she had she never would have met Grai or become a mother to her sister as well. Not following after that stallion was the best thing she could have done; well in her opinion it was.
With her thoughts a jumbled up mess she goes after the only one she knows who can help, Grai. She knew from watching him earlier where he was heading, and after a bit of scouting she found a smooth path to take to the beach,being mindful to watch her step until she stood on the cool wet sand. She was a bit out of breath as she hobbled along, stopping when she sees Grai's tracks. His trail went back and forth; pacing or perhaps he was racing himself?
Soda gives a shake of her creamy mane, lifting her head after giving the turned up ground a sniff, to look down the beach for his shape. He was near, that much she could tell.
