May I have this dance?
My heart races, my pulse is quick.
My throat feels dry, the clock ticks.
My hands sweat, I take a breath.
It's time to act, have no regrets.
I see her there, her eyes like gold.
So beautiful, her thoughts unknown.
She is stunning, I know this.
I swallow hard. Unclench my fist.
I one step and then another
I’m halfway there, don't run for cover.
She looks my way, I take the chance.
Hold out my hand....
