You don't need to confirm evidence with the agencies. There are DNA labs, trackers, cougar biologists, cougar and carnivore NGOs: peer-review, how biologists/scientists/citizen scientists examine one another's work for authenticity.

However, there are biologists within the agencies who are quite amenable to reviewing/collaborating on cougar evidence: Joe Racette and Scott Van Arsdale in NY, Chris Bernier in VT, Patrick Tate in NH, John DePue in Maine, Jason Hawley in CT, and several in NJ who approved my cam study. Some have experience working with cougars.

I sure hope evidence of a female does appear soon.
