Gabbar
stallion . arabian . bay . 14.3hh . 6
Gabbar is aware of Valve’s station not too far from where he stands with the chestnut Arabian. He keeps her in his peripherals as he speaks with A’idah, and once their conversation has come to a close the stallion removes himself from the Arabian’s presence and moves to join the black mare. He lifts his hooves clear of the sand with each step and moves without haste as he crests the small dune atop which Valve stands.

“Are you much hurt?” he asks as he stops one pace behind her left shoulder. She is a small mare and fine-boned, especially in comparison to their opponent. The breeder had been quite hefty compared to the two desert-bred horses and Gabbar can imagine that colliding with a force like that at such speed would be similar to slamming into a rock wall, albeit a furry one. Valve’s attack had been daring. The bay admires the Akhal-Teke for her ingenuity during battle and utters a low, appreciative snort. Truly, the Gods have looked upon him favorably ever since he set out on this quest to find his mother and her High Seer. Gabbar cannot imagine how different things would be had he not had the fortune of encountering the sleek black mare in the Falls.

He has another question for her, one that follows shortly after she has had time to reply to his first. “You spoke of a blind halfbreed, back on the Crossing. Where will you go to look for him?” Gabbar does not ask with the intention of being nosy. He has a follow up inquiry for his slender companion, but he holds his tongue now and waits to hear what Valve’s plans are. There will be time before she leaves, if that is her plan, to invite her to make a home here among the sands. Well does Gabbar know how useful it is to have a place to recollect ones’s thoughts and speculate on what information they have gained, as well as how helpful it can be in some instances to have another horse or two to bounce ideas off of. The bay stallion stares out across the territory that is now his home and inhales a deep, slow breath.
