I am corruption

Cortana;

Cortana scoffed and tossed her head out of Darius’s reach. “The cold doesn’t scare me! The wind, however, might be a different story if the mountains didn’t do a half-decent job of sheltering me from it most of the time.” Her nose snaked into the dip of Darius’s throat and she lipped at the skin there in retaliation. Pulling her muzzle back into her own space, she glanced up at the stallion, expecting to meet his gaze, but his eyes were elsewhere.

“I like it here,” she declared, cocking a hind foot and bobbing her head happily. “I’m ready for some warm weather, though. I bet this place is beautiful in the summer.” An image of the patchy tundra land turning into little seas of wildflowers popped into Cortana’s head and she smiled. Back home, the land was brown and flowerless. Cortana’s first experience with flowers was still a recent event, and she thought about the sweet-smelling things often. She wanted to live somewhere with flowers, and the Inlet looked promising.

Glancing back at Darius, she asked a question that had been floating quietly around her head since she arrived. “The Inlet is home to a herd,” she began. “I’ve seen them moving around, but you don’t seem to be part of it; do you know them?” She paused. “If you have family here, I’d like to meet them,” she said, unsure if the aforementioned herd was his family or if he was here alone. Or if, possibly, he had a family aside from the herd small enough that Cortana had not encountered them.

OOC: blegh, I’m feeling the muse-lessness too >.> I started this post like a week ago and totally forgot that I hadn’t finished it, so I’m sorry for the wait D:
