CHARITABLE ADVERTISING on Web Site There are many worthwhile charitable causes in existence, but we can only accept sponsorship or fundraising efforts on Fusilier Association websites, that specifically support approved Fusilier charities. This essentially means that it is acceptable to use these pages to seek sponsorship for The Fusiliers Aid Society (which includes Fallen Fusiliers), and The Fusilier Memorial fund only. We now have our own dedicated justgiving site (http://www.justgiving.com/fusiliersaidsociety), which you can use to help raise money for your cause. If you let RHQ (Asst Regt Sec) know the specific cause you are raising money for, it will be directed to the correct fund. Messages soliciting sponsorship for causes or charities other than the Fusilier ones mentioned above should not be placed on the message board and may be removed by the Webmaster.

Death of WO2 John Wiseman 3RRF
IP: 217.33.79.34

We received this message from Steve Fitt 4th March 2015.

Yesterday a devastating call from the wife of John Wiseman, former WO2 3RRF and a member of Central Branch, that John passed away yesterday. John had been suffering from prostate cancer but was in remission, however, unfortunately was then cursed with cancer of the oesophagus. Mrs Mary Wiseman has asked me to let the Fusilier family know what has happened and to keep you all informed of the funeral date when it is released. John was extremely prepared and had his house in order in preparation for things to come, so has organised most things as he would everything else in his life. RIP John, you will be very much missed. A good man indeed, this information came via Central Branch West Midlands.

WO2 John Wiseman who started his military career 1963 - 1986 with the 7th Royal Fusiliers (City of London) Regiment and 3RRF & 5RRF.
