FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
SANDUSKY SPEEDWAY HIRES NATOLE AS RACE DIRECTOR FOR 2015 SEASON
SANDUSKY, OH, March 25th, 2015- The racing action at a speedway is of the utmost importance, and as such, there must be an outstanding motorsports professional in the tower running the show. With that being said, the upcoming season at the “North Coast Home of the Supermodifieds”, the Sandusky Speedway, will see one of the half-mile speedplant’s most esteemed veterans return to the track in order to handle the racing action from the control tower. Rob Natole, legend of the pit steward and flagman niches, has been hired by the speedway in order to ensure the continued excellence of racing action that occurs on the speedway’s premier surface in the capacity of race director.
Natole, originally brought into the speedway family during the 1977 season as assistant pit steward, has nearly 40 years of experience. His most recent position at the speedway was part-time flagman when the Midwest Supermodified Association came into town during the 2014 racing season.
“Rob is a great friend and one of the best all-around track employees in the community. Nothing that Rob does is done with anything less than the utmost excellence. The standard that we hold for speedway employees is one of the highest in the business as we work to maintain Sandusky Speedway’s place at the pinnacle of Ohio motorsports, and with the many new employees that we have announced this offseason, I believe that we have lived up to that standard", stated speedway owner Kevin Jaycox.
