"The County"...pull in off of Rt. 113 and your driving through a forest, the weeds and trees so close to your car. The obvious in the pits was the dust when the idled cars coming off the track would cause a dust storm. Push jeeps rounding the track after helping the supers get going. Love the sound of them jeeps. Cars sliding off turn 1 heading to the hill. Oh that hill, for the crews to watch the races. What about that flagger named Bernie, ruled the roost. How about a perfect tan dude by the name of Jim Sexton in the #51 Fulper Auto Parts special. The most/less cheers/boos to the #71 driven by Jerry Owens. As the announcer would say, "coming onto the track in the S&W Blacktop special #94....Dave Shullick. This pilot was most cheered at LCS. Boy could he put on a show. Well time to get to my seats. Who else but the Mike Plas racing team. You ask why them, well they had the green sweat bands and those elephants. 3 rows up from them and well dressed man that always talked to Mr. Sexton. My buddy Al Paradise roaming the stands with the racing paper. Good racing every Saturday night. Loved when the track had the spectator stocks go the opposite direction. Parking lots drags to end the racing night. A quick stop to the Hayseed Tavern to a bite and chat to the #38 driver and fans or head to the Turnpike Inn for some good drinks. Worst tradition: next morning giving the car a bubble bath. Replies: There have been no replies.
