I don't want to take this thread off track but I can tell you one thing I really miss from the old day, regardless of the track.
That is open race car trailers. There was nothing more exciting to me as a kid than seeing a race car on a open trailer. I could be wrong be I think Hal La Tulip at Oswego is the only guy who still hauls his supermodified on a open trailer. I have said many times if I was Oswego Management I would pay him to put a sign on the back saying "Follow Me To Oswego Speedway".
The old days seemed so exciting but the modern times are that as well. Support your local track(s) and try to introduce a couple of new people every year to the sport of automobile racing. Replies: There have been no replies.
