Re(4): New Canadian movie on eastern cougar

Helen are you serving as the official spokesperson for Marc Gauthier? Or you just hand picking the Canadian evidence that will make your organization look like it’s on the right track in explaining the appearance of cougars in eastern provinces?

Secondly, if no breeding population exists there, why did Sue Morse suggest that counties in northern New York and Vermont would be colonized by dispersers from eastern Canada? If no females are there, and no breeding population exists, then how do we end up with dispersers from Quebec and New Brunswick?

If Sue Morse and the Cougar Network are correct then USFW presumably is wrong about western migration as the primary source of mountain lions in New England. Suggest you call Laury Zicari or Mark McCollough at USFW and ask them their opinions on this question.

I guess you are a little behind the curve in Nova Scotia. We can let that pass for now. I'm sure you are right and the cats are stopping right at the line with the other provinces. And staying out of the US due to immigration laws. And the evidence from Nova Scotia is not good enough, we want a dead cat to confirm. All the witnesses are imagining things, or misidentifying common animals like Bobcats, Bears, Dogs, and Bigfoot. Gee this sounds like Michigan 8 years ago......

I would seek out a pleasant cleanser for removing egg from faces. I believe the Michigan DNR found one.
