Soljor glanced back when CUA joined him. He knew that like the rest of the herd, she seemed to have entered hibernation. Not that he was one to speak. He nodded, reaching over to exchange breaths with the mare. She was still here. His first. He would always think about her as that.

“I don’t look that bad,” Soljor huffed. He shook his white mane. She was looking good. Heavy coated for her light frame. He smiled at her. “It is. I don’t know how I feel about it.”

He sighed, dark eye glancing back towards the ocean.

“Say, want to visit the crossing with me?” He asked. He’d never asked CUA off of the Bay. He’d only done it with a few mares. “Just see something a bit different?” He didn’t know where they could go. Maybe up to the Falls? He didn’t think she’d been over there.

He didn’t think she had left the Bay since he brought her all those years ago. It might do them both some good to get out. To see the world. Besides, he had Magnus who was more than competent.
