Hard to focus on polite conversation with our neighbour serving coffee overlooking Grass Creek this morning -- a pair of common mergansers, a pair of buffleheads, two wood ducks, and a great blue heron made their appearance in the creek, and a chipping sparrow, newly arrived today, visited her feeder.
