The blackened beast moved with an ease that he was used too, an ache in his shoulder showed that slowly, he was getting older. Eleven now, still mateless and childless. He wondered what his parents would think of him now. He was a nomad, with no purpose, no imprint to worry about. There had been a severing of the imprint ties with the only one he had prior, and despite that being gone, his heart still ached at times, wondering where she was. She had been an ever constant piece in his mind for years, six to be exact, and it was hard to fight the feelings he had gotten, for an unnamed, unknown girl he had seen twice in so many years. It was such a harsh sensation, the severing of the imprint. It had nearly killed him, the pain from the break. The dark caverns welcomed him as he walked into the cave. His black figure was highlighted with gold hues, random but it made blending into the cavern walls as he moved.
Dark blue, nearly black eyes shut as he came to a stop. His ears twisted, listening to the sound of a bit of water dripping from the Stalactites that hung from the ceiling of the cave. He leaned his shoulder against the walls, using the cold from the cave to seep into the ache that was bothering him today. He didn’t know if he wished to ever find another imprint, because the pain from the last had been just too much, to be honest. He wasn’t prepared to break like he had this time.
The quiet night soothed his wild nerves, keeping him sane, for the time being.
