he watches with rapt attention as a coy smile spreads across her face and then flicks his ears forward, watching her words.
”pretty? darling, i’m stunning.” he matches her chuckle with a husky one of his own. she came closer and a low rumble of satisfaction rolled in his chest. she was prettier now that the light was hitting her face - he’d done well, picking this one. any thoughts of the night before vanished as she circled him and a slight shiver rolled over his shoulders. she was dangerous and that made him wary but excited and his eyes narrowed and he twisted his head to track her movements as much as he could.
”mmm, now tell me. what has brought you to my lair.” the words were spoken like a statement, not like a question, and they lingered like heavy perfume in the air.
she came back around and he breathed her in when she passed and he found she smelled like she looked - pretty, pardon
stunning, and dangerous and like good things to come. he’d gotten too lucky - much, much too lucky with this one, but then, nathaniel was never one to look a gift horse in the mouth. the man let his eyes roam over her figure, completely unashamed of that fact. he let his mouth quirk upwards at her and then took his time moving closer to her, baring teeth in a smile that was sharper than it needed to be.
”i’ve always been a fan of the dangerous and beautiful,” he replied, voicing dropping to a rumble to match the heavy silence that lurked in the series of caves.
