Solitaire had wanted to be accepted into the pack of his birth for a very long time, and it was strange that when he had gotten away from the rogues, he had thought for sure he would be welcomed home again. He had been wrong, however. The pack had switched alphas before his return, and the new one at that point had ignored his presence. There had been no acceptance that day, and it looked like that new alpha had wanted mostly to run Solitaire's older brother off more than anything at the time. Why wouldn't Solitaire have been overlooked at the time? Still, the pain of that hadn't gone away, and it still made him wary about alphas and pack things now. Made him work harder to ensure his place among the others, because it was too easy for an alpha to turn someone away. Of course if ever that were to happen now, Solitaire would be prone to fighting his way to staying home. His mind was made up about it.
There was good reason for his lack of flirting and so forth, and it had much to do with his youth. He was an eye catching sort of critter with his mask and spots and mis-matched eyes, and that had been used for purposes that Solitaire would rather forget. He shys away from females on a general basis because of that, so it wasn't a personal matter against Malleah by any means. He was sure that she was attractive and possibly ideal to most males, but he wasn't most males. He might have been that kind of creature if he had grown up normally and not under the paw of the wrong sorts, but that wasn't the case. It made him more nervous than anything to be looked at in any which way by females that might be in some way suggestive, but he does his best to keep calm and his mind at the matter at hand; the leg wound and the idea of rabies (though he doubts that part).
Her joke of rabies gains a soft chuckle from him, and he does understand that the plants might not be easily found right now. Still, he wanted to help her out if he could. He jsut wasn't perfectly sure how to do that the right way. When she asks about the moss and it's uses, he was able to push the other questions from his mind for a moment. "Mostly to stop bleeding, or cover a wound to keep moisture or an ointment in." He responded lightly, happy enough to explain the idea of it. "And I do have some of the other plants at home. You could probably visit and I'll patch it up there, if you want." He pointed this out evenly, giving a subtle shrug of his shoulders. Hopefully Eden wouldn't mind a loner coming into Glorall for a little while to be looked at. Solitaire could keep a close eye on her until she went on her way again, so that should be alright... right?
