"'Tis the wind, and nothing more."

Malleah had spent the majority of her winter holed up in the grotto trying to keep away from the cold. Her life was about surviving and she bitterly missed the warm press of the male she had lived with before ditching him to come back home. Oh, she was more than happy to have found Taji and Malum. Quite frankly she had assumed them dead, their bones now apart of the chemical makeup of the alligators in Iromar just as her mother's had become, yet they had been alive. Each one, it seemed, had weathered a hard life and here again they were off doing separate things. She had almost caved many times and turned her sleek body to face the direction of the swamps where she knew Malum was but she would gnash her teeth, utter a sharp growl and curse, then head back into the grotto. So it was that she had come to call the caverns home for the temperature deep within was much more stable and warm than winters call. Now spring had arrived and the wolves of Molodian were no longer content to remain holed up in their packs so she had taken to sitting atop the caverns when possible to keep an eye out for an unsuspecting gentleman. After all - why catch her own food when she could bat her eyes, offer a coy smile, and get it for free?
At the moment she has moved further away from the entrance to her cavern, for she considered it hers by now, so she does not see the two brutes that came frolicking into her humble abode. Instead she rests atop a fallen tree with her tail curled down the side of it and her delicate body sitting in perfect posture. She was quite good at it just as she was good at making herself seem weak or sweet or even vicious. Whatever she needed to learn she adopted for she knew that without her wits she would be dead. Born the runt of the litter she had never grown very big. Her body was sinewy and her markings attractive. They highlighted the pink of her eyes and the red flecks within them. Everything was used to as much of an advantage as needed.
One ear flicks back to catch the cry of a male seeking the company of others but what really grabs her attention is from where it comes. Her head snaps around and her eyes narrow as she sniffs the breeze before jolting upright and leaping off the log with a low growl. It sounded almost as if they were in
her caves. Malleah is quick. Her light body makes her movements airy and swift as she cuts down a small path that weaves towards one of the many entrances to the caverns. This entrance, however, belonged to her for she had set up a nest way back in with furs and dried brush.
Malleah slows as she nears the entrance, entire body taut as she slowly moves to peek in and spies the large males. It was probably not a good idea to piss them off judging by the roar of the other male yet she felt as if they had overstepped their bounds and besides, she was at the entrance. If they tried to attack her she could outpace them any day. With that encouraging thought firm in her mind she steps around so that she stands at the entrance staring at the males. Her voice is cool as she eyes them warily.
"Making yourself at home, boys? Next time, perhaps, you could make sure no one is living here before entering. I don't much like others messing with my bedding, you see. I hope you do not have fleas." The words are taunting and her lilting and bold.
