 The only horses that knew her name had been mama Yscha, one of the mares that had looked after her, and her twin brother Abbott; but both horses were gone and with them went her name. A sudden wave of sadness washes over her, her shoulders slumping even more and she hardly cares that the stallion has now moved to be beside her, feeling his side brush against hers every time she breathed out. She missed her brother; he'd been her voice and she his other eye. Co lets out a silent sigh.
The pressing of skin against hers again has her bringing her head up to narrow her sad brown eyes at Sarim; her grief fading. She listens to what he says, kind of hard not to when he was so persistent. Her eyes widen at his words, and the name; perhaps if she were in a better mood she would have laughed at the fact that while the name meant song, she couldn't actually sing or even speak. Such cruel irony. She wants to disagree with him, that it wasn't her name and that it never will be but already the man is walking toward the water and she is left staring after him with a pout to her lips. There were so many things she wanted to say, yet she couldn't. He was so darn lucky because a lot of the things weren't exactly nice.
With a huff she trails after him when a minute ticks by, knowing she didn't have much of a choice. For him she'd be this Taraneh, just for a while. She gracefully moves past him as she gets closer to the water, stopping when the tips of her hooves meet the water. Co, or Taraneh as she is now called, looks over her shoulder and under her lashes at her companion for the night before lowering her head for a drink.
Maybe Sarim wasn't that bad. She was just letting her worries and memories get in the way.
