For those of you who can't get to or are not participating in the Carden Alvar Nature Festival it would be nice if some of you could volunteer to help monitor the nesting area on Hanlan's Point north beach / Toronto Islands where Piping Plovers are attempting to hopefully nest.
This is an historic occurrence as they have not nested here since June 9th, 1934.
