A'idah

The eery silver light of the moon dances across the desert sands, casting shadows across the faces of the pair of conversing equines. A soft breeze whispers through A'idah's blonde tresses, it tugs and pulls a few strands of her forelock into her honey kissed eyes. She lets her gaze wander to the distant dunes, her mind races away from her. What did Orhan really want to say to her? What was he holding back from her? She lets her mind wander back to that night on the crossing, the moment that they had shared. It now, was ages ago. She sighs heavily and shifts her gaze to Orhan's dark eyes. "Gabbar? He allows me to go where I please and to speak with who I want to."

A'idah does not miss the fact that Orhan does not rush to speak about Vesti. She curiously eyes him. What had happened since that last time they had met? She dares to take a step forward, her hooves shuffle beneath her body. A'idah's honey eyes remain on Orhan as he drops his gaze, and sadly says she looks just like me. "She? A filly. I bet she is beautiful." Before A'idah can step any closer Orhan lifts his head, and changes the subject before she could delve deeper into what was bothering him.

Abruptly she stops in her tracks, she raises her delicate head high onto her arched nape. She is not surprised that he asks these questions. It seems these days she is only used for pulling information from. She snorts through her thin nostrils and swivels her head away. Her honey colored eyes distant, annoyance on the tip of her voice. "The fleabitten mare? El Halin, is her name. I met her some time ago on the crossing, with a certain Teke. Maslakhat. She practically spits his name. "Gabbar mentioned another mare Ifitkhar, it seems as if they are here to find a blind seer." She finishes her sentence and brings her honey gaze back to his dark intent eyes.

Without thinking, her next words spill from her lips. "Orhan, is this why you have come? To seek out information that I hold? Am I nothing else to you?" The last words raw, showing the pain that she endures.
