Hi Laura,
The cat appears to be a bobcat. A mountain lion would be quite a bit taller and longer. One key thing to look for is the tail. Mountain lions have tails ranging between 3 and 4 feet. This cat appears to have a bobbed tail which would indicate a bobcat.
